I started Forest Field & Sky because some of my best memories were made outdoors with family, and I want to help others make memories of their own.
Where it all began
Hunting has always been part of my life. Growing up, I went hunting with my dad every year, mainly during muzzleloader season. We would travel to southeastern Oklahoma and spend an entire week hunting, camping, and simply being together as a family.
I only took up bow hunting recently, but it has quickly become one of my favorite ways to spend time outdoors.
Making time for the next generation
When my kids were growing up, life and work got in the way of sharing those same experiences as often as I wanted. I wish we had spent more of that time together outdoors. With my grandkids, I wanted to make a different choice.
My grandkids are the inspiration behind all of this. My wife and I bought a small piece of property in southeastern Oklahoma where I can take my granddaughters camping and hunting. I look forward to bringing my grandson along, too.
We spend time looking for deer tracks and turkey tracks, learning about the woods, and enjoying being outside together. Those moments matter to me just as much as the hunt itself.
More than the harvest
For me, hunting is a chance to step away from the rush of everyday life and let my mind settle. There is something special about listening to the forest wake up in the morning or grow quiet at night.
It isn't always about bringing something home. Seeing deer or turkeys, or just sitting and watching hawks and crows, can make the whole trip worthwhile.

I created this store to offer hunting, fishing, and camping gear and accessories for people who want to spend more time outdoors. Maybe you're taking your kids or grandkids on their first trip. Maybe you're heading out with friends or making a little time for yourself. Whatever brings you outside, I hope you'll find something here that helps you get ready.

What I'll share here
This blog will follow my hunting adventures with my granddaughter and my kids, along with my experiences using products I've tested myself. I look forward to sharing those stories with you.
